WHAT HAPPENED?
According to in Italy, the former Serie A champions are closing in on appointing ex-Chelsea and Tottenham manager Conte as their next head coach. The report further claimed that Napoli are likely to finalise a deal with the Italian manager in the next couple of days.

Napoli had earlier considered approaching Atalanta's Gasperini, who recently won the first major trophy of his career as he guided the club to a Europa League triumph. The 66-year-old, however, is now in talks to sign a new contract. With Gasperini out of the picture, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want to wait any longer as he plans to close the Conte deal soon.
